19th Century Italian Watercolor Painting by Pietro Garbini

A watercolor over traces of pencil on paper by Italian artist Pietro Gabrini (1856-1926). The painting depicts a woman standing in what appears to be an outdoor courtyard. She is wearing a blue and white tunic while balancing a basket of flowers atop her head.

The artist was an Italian painter known for his landscapes, still lifes, and portraits. He was born in Rome and studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome, where he was a pupil of the painter Domenico Morelli.

The piece is signed 'P Garbini' in the lower left corner.
