A highly collectable & rare patinated bronze group of a man and his hounds. The man is standing in what appears to be a riding and hunting outfit while carefully following four hound. The scene depicted represents a hunting group.
The sculpture is by artist Franz Xaver Bergmann and dates back to 1900 in Vienna. The artists was the owner of a Viennese foundry who produced numerous patinated and cold-painted bronzes, oriental, and animal figures.
The piece measures: 8" x 7 1/4" x 5 3/4" and the Bergmann cachet stamp can be found on the bottom.
