A French pastel still life. The piece features a clear glass bottle, possibly holding wine or spirits, partially encased in a beige or gold-colored woven casing (similar to a Chianti bottle wrapping). Surrounding the base of the bottle are bunches of grapes in both light green/white and purplish tones, along with two round fruits, possibly peaches or apples. The arrangement rests on a reflective surface against a moody, dark background that fades into a warm yellow/brown glow on the right.
It dates back to the 19th Century.
